For those from Durban, South Africa, you will be familiar with and love the curries of Durban. If anyone ever visits Durban, it is mandatory to eat lamb or mutton curry and at least one Bunny Chow (curry served in a ¼ loaf of bread). Durban is well known for some of the best curries outside of India, and they are served in a variety of ways, with many sides. This delicious slow cooked lamb curry has butterbeans added for extra flavour and texture, but you can use potato instead. Wonderful served with sambals, chutney, banana, cucumber yoghurt, roti, naan or rice. Curry heat can be adjusted according to your palate, simply by adding more or less chillies, but don’t tamper with the spice blend, as this is often a curry’s signature! Give it a try and let us know what you think! For the recipe, check in the notes section on Facebook, or go to www.Wonderbag.co.za and click on recipes.
